About

I'm Rafael Fuentes Rangel, a software engineer currently working as an ML/AI engineer. I build production-oriented AI systems and agentic workflows, and I'm interested in the space where machine learning, software engineering, mathematics, and scientific research overlap.

My background is in software engineering, including fintech and blockchain work: smart contracts, decentralized applications, and privacy-preserving computation. These days most of my energy goes into ML/AI systems: getting models to do useful work reliably, and building the tooling around them.

Selected Tools & Technologies

Day to day I work mostly in Python and TypeScript. On the ML/AI side that means PyTorch, Hugging Face, and the LLM ecosystem: LangChain and LangGraph for agentic workflows, retrieval pipelines with vector databases, and FastAPI for serving models behind real APIs.

For systems-level work I also use Go, Rust, C, and C++. Everything I ship goes through Docker, CI/CD, and usually Kubernetes, on AWS or GCP depending on the project.
